Police: Mother nearly struck by bullet while breastfeeding baby in St. Paul

Police say a woman who was breastfeeding her baby in her home in St. Paul was nearly struck by a bullet on Monday.

According to St. Paul Police, officers responded to several reports of shots fired on Monday, including on the 800 block of Edmund Avenue, the 400 block of Baker Street, the 700 block of Perlman Street, and the area of Seventh and Kennard streets.

In the incident near Seventh and Kennard streets, three bullets went into a home, where the mother and baby were.

Police are investigating the incidents and urged anyone with knowledge of someone illegally possessing guns to let them know.
