Police are investigating a bank robbery in Alexandria.

Alexandria Police said officers responded to a bank alarm at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, located at 418 Third Avenue E, at about 4:24 p.m. Thursday.


Police said a man was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area.

He is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 45 with a dark complexion. It is unknown if he left on foot or in a vehicle. At the time of the robbery, the suspect did communicate he had a weapon but none were displayed or used.
