UPDATE: As of 6:36 p.m., the boy has been located by police, unharmed and in good health.

According to a release sent out by the St. Cloud Police Department, the mother of the 11-year-old Brennan called police after her son fled on foot from the residence, located in the 800 block 15th Avenue North. His mother advised police they had only been in the area for three weeks, so he would not be familiar with the neighborhood.

Brennan was later found in a residence in the 1500 block of 8th Street North, after the resident called dispatch stating there was a boy in the house that may be Brennan. Officers made contact with the boy, and confirmed it was Brennan. He was found unharmed and was returned safely to his home.

The investigation revealed that after Brennan ran from his home, he most likely did not spend much time outside and got into the neighbor's residence without their knowledge. Brennan was found in the basement, playing. Police say it is not clear why Brennan went to this residence.

Police in St. Cloud are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 11-year-old boy.

Police said the child, Brennan, was last seen near the 800 block of 15th Avenue North just before 5 p.m.

Police said Brennan is not dressed for the weather and that he is not from the area. Police added he also is a high-functioning autistic child.

He was identified as 4-feet-10-inches, with a thin build and blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a bright lime green jacket, jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the location of the child is asked to call 911 immediately.
