Police in St. Cloud are investigating after a report of gunshots early Wednesday afternoon on the 2900 block of West St. Germain.

According to a release, officers were dispatched around 12:10 p.m. after calls reporting two vehicles were involved in an incident in which multiple shots were fired. Upon arrival, officers were not able to locate either vehicle, though they did find evidence that gunshots had been fired in that location.

Initial investigation indicates a person in one of the vehicles was shooting at the other vehicle. But no reports of injuries have been received.

The matter is under investigation, but the release said based on the circumstances, it does not appear to have been a random incident.
