One person is dead after being involved in a train-pedestrian incident this past weekend.

The Plymouth Police Department said in a release that the incident happened Saturday around 10 a.m. near the 19000 block of Highway 55.


Officers located one deceased victim at the scene.

The release said the department is working collaboratively with the Medina Police Department, as well as the Canadian Pacific Railway.

The incident remains under investigation. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will release the official cause of death and identity of the victim at a later time.
