A footstool on an unoccupied seat of an amusement ride broke off Saturday night at the city's Fourth of July carnival.

According to the Forest Lake Police Department, two officers were assigned to patrol the carnival and were in the area where it happened just before 6 p.m.

Three people were on the ride at the time, and no one was on the particular seat that broke. No injuries were reported.

The ride, named "The Scrambler," was back in working condition Sunday afternoon.
