On Tuesday, Minnesotans of African Heritage rallied with black legislators and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter to launch the 2018 Council of Minnesotans of African Heritage Legislative Agenda.

Minnesota is home to some of the worst racial disparities in the nation, the council says. At the same time, they say, people of color in this state are the fastest growing population, and the future of the state will be directly connected to the success of communities of color.
