A pedestrian was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in St. Paul.

St. Paul Police said officers were called to the intersection of Atlantic Street and Phalen Boulevard just before 9 p.m. There, officers found 60-year-old Lor Xiong unresponsive in the intersection with significant injuries to his head.

Xiong was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Police said witnesses were able to describe the suspect vehicle to officers and provide a license plate number. Officers later found the vehicle in the 300 block of Toronto Street with visible damage to the front and driver's side.

The suspect inside, identified as 23-year-old Christopher D'Shaun Mack, of St. Anthony, was arrested and booked for criminal vehicular homicide, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
