Authorities say an 83-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Faribault Monday.

According to a release from the Faribault Police Department, officers were called Monday afternoon to a parking lot on State Avenue on the report of an injured pedestrian. 


When officers arrived, they located a woman on the ground who was bleeding from the head and face.

The woman was later pronounced dead at North Memorial Health Hospital. 

The Faribault Police Department identified the woman as Darlene Ulrich. 

Witnesses told police that a vehicle was backing out of a parking stall when it struck Ulrich and continued backing up until it struck another vehicle.  None of the occupants in the two vehicles were injured. 

Police are still investigating the incident.
