Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Inver Grove Heights dies

The 40-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle in Inver Grove Heights Saturday night has died, according to the Inver Grove Heights Police Department.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Marissa Nelson.

According to police, officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash at 8:57 p.m. Saturday in the 8900 block of Broderick Boulevard.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 40-year-old woman, later identified as Nelson, who had been struck by a vehicle when crossing the road.

Police said Nelson died Wednesday night.

The driver involved in the crash is cooperating with the investigation.
