Passenger injured in Minneapolis car crash, driver's whereabouts unknown

Minneapolis police responded to a report of shots fired to find a car crashed into a tree Sunday evening.

Sgt. Darcy Horn said officers responded to the 3000 block of Clinton Avenue South in regards to a shots-fired report. When police arrived to the area, they found a vehicle crashed into a tree and a passenger inside of the vehicle.


The passenger was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for injuries consistent with a motor vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle was not on the scene when officers arrived.

The scene was processed for evidence by investigators. At least one bullet hole was found on the vehicle.
