Two people have reported being drugged at one of Lake Minnetonka's most popular restaurants over the past month, according to the Orono Police Department.

A 37-year-old woman said her drink may have been drugged at Lord Fletcher's July 7.

The woman said she blacked out and did not remember part of the evening. She took an over the counter drug test and tested positive for benzodiazepines.

"Depressants that produce sedation, induce sleep, relieve anxiety and muscle spasms, and prevent seizure," according to the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Police said there are no suspects at this time, but an investigation is active.

After the 37-year-old woman's report, an anonymous caller reported a similar incident, which occurred two weeks before the first alleged drugging.

"If someone comes and wants to buy you a drink, make sure you go with them up to the bar, and make sure the bartender gives you the drink, so they’re not bringing it back and there’s not that potential for something to be done," said Sgt. Chad Stensrud. "Just stay vigilant."

Police said they are unsure if the two incidents are connected.

Peter Peyerl, Managing Partner of Lord Fletcher's said in a statement that the "safety and security of our patrons is our number one priority at Lord Fletcher's."

He went on to write that it is fully cooperating with the Orono Police Department during this active investigation.
