Opening day attendance record set at 2019 State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair announced an attendance record was set for opening day in 2019.

The fair said 133,326 people visited on Thursday.

Last year, the State Fair set an overall attendance record, crossing the 2 million mark during the 12-day event. The old record was set in 2017.

2018's opening day attendance set a record with 122,695 people visting the fairgrounds.
