Police: 1 dead after shooting in Fridley

Authorities say one person was killed Thursday night following a shooting in Fridley.

The Fridley Police Department said officers were called around 5:45 p.m. to 61st Avenue Northeast and Fifth Street Northeast on the report of a shooting. 


When authorities arrived, they located a 17-year-old boy who suffered gunshot wounds. The teen was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
