The state patrol reports a 51-year-old Ohio man was killed early Monday after the 2006 Pontiac minivan he was driving came to a stop in the roadway in Fergus Falls and was struck by another vehicle.

The crash report said Anthony Wayne Thacker of Portsmouth, Ohio was the driver of a 2006 Pontiac minivan which came to a stop on Highway 210 west of Ottertail County Road 86 so that frost could be removed from the windshield. The vehicle was then struck by a 2018 Infinity Q50 driven by 30-year-old Bryan Christian Robinson of Golden Valley, N.D.

The minivan then spun around with the passenger side facing westbound traffic. A 2005 Buick Rainier, being driven by 30-year-old Dustin Martin Tomte of Fergus Falls, then broadsided Thacker's vehicle, the report states.

Neither Tomte nor Robinson were believed to have suffered injuries. A passenger in the minivan, 36-year-old Dustin David Dekarske of Portsmouth, Ohio, suffered what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. Road conditions were considered snowy and icy at the time.
