The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) says thousands of THC vaping cartridges were seized in Minnesota Monday.

Officials held a press conference Tuesday afternoon regarding the seizure of 76,972 THC vaping cartridges, which are believed to have come from out-of-state for distribution in Minnesota, and have an estimated street value of $3.8 million.

The seizure comes as health officials across the country investigate hundreds of illnesses linked to vaping, including dozens of hospitalizations and several deaths.
