Residents share frustrations over North Hudson boat launch closure

Updated: July 11, 2019 10:41 PM

People living in a small village along the St. Croix River gave city leaders an earful Thursday night.

Last week, leaders closed a North Hudson boat launch. The village has it shut down on weekends, citing staffing and safety concerns.

But that isn't sitting well with many, and over two dozen people brought those thoughts to a Public Safety Committee meeting for the first time Thursday.

Many just want to work something out that is fair for everybody, but leaders said there's no plan to change its plan to close the boat launch on weekends until a solution is reached.

With no future meetings set in stone, it could keep residents frustrated for the foreseeable future.
