Blaine took the first possession of the game and struck first when senior running back Preston Meyers ran it in for a touchdown to make it 7-0 Bengals with 6:12 left in the first.

Centennial would answer right back when junior running back Lance Nielsen Jr. scored on a long run to make it 7-7 with 2:52 left in the first quarter. Nielsen then added a second touchdown run in the second quarter to make it 14-7 Cougars with 5:38 left in the first half.

However, that was too much time for Blaine. Meyers scored his second rushing touchdown of the game to make it 14-14 at the half.

Centennial's defense would step up and shutout the Bengals in the second half. Nielsen Jr. thought running the ball in was too easy and threw a touchdown to senior Luke Clark to make it 20-14 Cougars with 1:47 left in the third quarter.

The Cougars drained the fourth quarter clock. Centennial started their drive in the third quarter and then proceeded to take up the first 7:25 of the fourth quarter. Senior running back Lance Liu scored a rushing touchdown for the Cougars to make it 26-14 with 4:35 remaining in the game.
