"Over recent months, I’ve had the pleasure to engage a broad cross-section of our University community, and I’m excited to apply what I’ve heard in working with the Board, students, faculty and staff to turn ideas into action,” Gabel said in a statement.

During Thursday's meeting, the board will hear Powell and Gabel's first reports in their new positions, review several real estate transaction proposals, and hear the annual report from Gopher Athletics Director Mark Coyle.
