Purple is reigning over the North Loop in Minneapolis. 

A new Prince mural has been completed on the side of 424 N. Washington Avenue. The mural is sponsored by Floyd's Barbershop.

According to a news release, the artist behind the work is Jonas Never, from Los Angeles. Never has created 15 murals for Floyd's Barbershops across the country, including Boston, Detroit and now Minneapolis.

"I'm really excited to do the Prince mural because so much what I do is site-specific. I purposely held off on doing a mural when he passed just because it didn't feel right doing one in LA. When the oppoortunity arose to paint him right in the heart of the North Loop, I was thrilled," Never said in the release.

The mural measures 23.7 feet long and 27 feet tall.
