Start planning your Minnesota State Fair food stops: Fair officials have announced the addition of 27 items to its menus.

Officials said there are now nearly 500 menu items at roughly 300 concessions locations throughout the fairgrounds.


Here's a look at the new menu items:

An Ahi Tuna Poke (pronounced PO-kay for those unfamiliar) Bowl with Ahi tuna, avocado, mango and pico de gallo tossed in a Hawaiian ginger-soy sauce and served cold over rice with a fried wonton can be found at Café Caribe.

The Bananas Foster French Toast is cinnamon swirl French toast topped with slices of fresh bananas in an orange-rum-flavored caramel sauce and finished with a dollop of whipped cream. That can be found at Hamline Church Dining Hall.

The BBQ Split, which is scoops of BBQ pulled pork, mac & cheese and coleslaw served side-by-side with a pickle spear, can be found at Midtown Global Market's Mama D's.

A Blueberry Rhubarb Cobbler, which is a blend of organic blueberries and rhubarb topped with a cornmeal biscuit and whipped cream, is being served at the Farmers Union Coffee Shop.

Stop by French Meadow Bakery & Cafe's location for the Earth Wings, or fresh cauliflower pieces dipped in a seasoned batter, deep-fried and smothered in organic sesame BBQ sauce.

Firecracker Shrimp Stuffed Avocado is being served at The Hideaway Speakeasy. The dish consists of gulf white shrimp, lime, onion, black beans, tomato and fire-roasted corn in a garlic aioli, cilantro-infused olive oil, stuffed in avocado halves and is served open-face with flatbread.

Visit Midtown Global Market's Taco Cat for the General Tso Chicken Taco, which is battered and deep-fried chicken with a sauce of ginger, garlic, soy sauce and Asian spices, seasoned cream cheese and topped with wonton crisps and green onion, served on a flour tortilla.

Want something sweet to drink? The Honey Cream Soda Float at the Minnesota Honey Producers Association consists of honey cream soda (made without sugar) poured over Minnesota Grown honey ice cream.

Try the Irish Tater Kegs, or jumbo deep-fried tater tots made with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, sour cream and potatoes drizzled with house-made Thousand Island dressing on top of sauerkraut, at O'Gara's at the Fair.

The Mangonada Shave Ice at Minnesnowii Shave Ice is mango-flavored shave ice drizzled with Mexican chamoy sauce, tajin chili powder, and topped with popping mango boba pearls, served with a tamarind candy straw.

Stop by Mancini's al Fresco for the Messy Giuseppe, seasoned ground beef and Italian pork sausage smothered in marinara, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and served on crusty Italian bread.

The Moroccan Sausage Bowl, at Sausage by Cynthia, has ground beef and lamb sausage seasoned with herbs, sweet spices and red pepper cooked with carrots, turnips and chickpeas, and topped with sautéed onions and a green olive.

Try a variety of Nordic Waffles with various toppings at the Nordic Waffles location.

Thinly sliced fried pepperoni chips served with a warm roasted red pepper cheese sauce make up the Pepperoni Chips at LuLu's Public House.

The Rainbow Cloud Roll is three scoops of ice cream sprinkled with fruity cereal and wrapped in cotton candy, found at Rainbow Ice Cream.

Stop by the Shrimp Shack for the Shrimp Ceviche: Fresh shrimp, cucumbers, jalapeños, onions, tomatoes and cilantro with a citrus lime juice and served cold with tortilla chips.

Visit The Hangar for their series of Slider Flights.

The Blue Moon Dine-In Theater has Smoked Soft Serve Ice Cream in two flavors: Cold Brew Coffee and Muscovado Sugar Vanilla.

The Blue Barn is serving Swedish Meatball Smörgås, or a meatball sandwich with three traditional Swedish pork and beef meatballs topped with white gravy, lingonberry sauce and dill pickles.

Sweet Greek Cheese Puffs at Dino's Gyros are flaky phyllo dough filled with feta and ricotta cheese, deep-fried, drizzled with honey and topped with powdered sugar.

Sweetie Cakes is serving their Sweetie Cakes, which consists of a choice of black forest cake, birthday cake or chocolate peanut butter cake, baked in a cup packed with Sassy Pecan toffee bits and served warm, topped with real whipping cream and more toffee bits.

Stop by The Strawberry Patch for the Triple Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake, which is dense chocolate cake with chocolate chips, fudge icing, strawberries and whipped cream.

Giggles' Campfire Grill is serving the Turducken Sausage Sandwich, which is a blend of turkey, duck and chicken served on a fennel bun with a side of Giggles' sweet and saucy relish.

Porketta sausage, cheese curds, coarse grain mustard and chopped dill pickle baked in a puffy crust sprinkled with pepper and sea salt make up the UpNorth Puff Pasty at Sausage Sister & Me.

Visit Tejas Express for the Wood-Grilled Elote, which is corn on the cob grilled over an oak wood fire, brushed with chile-spiced mayo and sprinkled with queso Cotija.

Try the Za-Waffle Sticks, which are waffles blended with pepperoni and mozzarella, topped with a parmesan herb blend and served with pepperoni-infused maple syrup or marinara sauce, at Green Mill.

The Gass Station Grill is serving a Zesty PB&J Sausage, which is peanut butter, cherry jelly, cayenne pepper and cilantro blended into a quarter-pound sausage.

Meanwhile, the state fair has announced five new vendors will be setting up shop on the fairgrounds: The Anchor Coffee House, The Hangar, Midtown Global Market's Mama D's, Midtown Global Market's Taco Cat, and Nordic Waffles.

Last year, fair officials said a record 1,997,320 people attended the Great Minnesota Get-Together during its 12-day run.
