New aquarium coming to Roseville

Construction has begun on a new aquarium to be located at Rosedale Center in Roseville.

According to information on its website, SeaQuest Roseville is expected to open next spring.


"SeaQuest Roseville will take its guests on an adventure through rainforests, deserts and the depths of the seas," the website says. "With exciting exhibits and activities for families and children of all ages, you'll be able to get wet with the stingrays, feed birds and reptiles, encounter the caimans, marvel at the sharks, take shellfies with the snakes and much more."

The location will be SeaQuest's eighth, according to its website - joining locations in Las Vegas, Fort Worth, Texas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Layton, Utah, Littleton, Colorado, Folsom, California and Trumbull, Connecticut.
