A motorcyclist died in Brown County Saturday night after he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from it.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 62-year-old David Leo Fleck was traveling northbound on Highway 15 in Cottonwood Township at about 7:30 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle.


Fleck was thrown from the motorcycle, authorities said, and it crossed back over the lane before entering a ditch on the eastern side of the highway.

Authorities said the road was dry at the time of the incident. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to authorities.

According to the incident report, Fleck was not wearing a helmet. Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
