One person suffered life-threatening injuries when a motorcycle crashed into a truck.

A Minnesota State Patrol incident report said the crash happened at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday on Highway 55 near Pine Bend Trail in Rosemount.

The report says a FedEx truck and a motorcycle were both traveling east on Highway 55 when the FedEx truck appeared to attempt a U-turn. As the truck slowed to attempt the turn, the motorcycle attempted to pass on the left to avoid rear-ending the truck.

The State Patrol said the motorcycle crash into the truck as it attempted its U-turn.

The motorcyclist, identified in the report as 52-year-old Shawn M. Dakovich of Amery, Wisc., was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries.

The report says Dakovich wasn't wearing a helmet, and alcohol or drugs aren't believed to have played a role in the crash.

The driver of the truck wasn't injured.
