One person died after a motorcycle vs. deer collision in Swift County, this past weekend.

The Swift County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a crash involving two motorcycles on County Road 15 at about 7:27 p.m. Saturday.

According to the sheriff's office, a 2001 Honda motorcycle and a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle were both traveling south on the road when a doe and two fawns crossed the road. The Honda motorcycle struck the doe and went into the west ditch while the Harley Davidson motorcycle tipped on its side, avoiding the deer.

The sheriff's office said the Honda's passenger, 64-year-old Doreen Touhey, of Benson, was transported to a hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

The passenger of the Harley Davison and two other motorcyclists were treated and released.
