The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reports a 24-year-old Pierz man was transported to the hospital following a two-car crash Thursday afternoon.

A release said the incident occurred at the intersection of Hawthorn Road and 235th Avenue in Buh Township, about four miles northwest of Pierz.

The release reports Pacer Demo, 24 of Pierz, was traveling north on 235th Avenue when he allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into a vehicle traveling west on Hawthorn Road. That vehicle was driven by 56-year-old Ronald Stuckmayer of Pierz.

Demo was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. The extent of his injuries was not yet known. Stuckmayer was not believed to have been injured.

Both vehicles sustained severe damage, the release said.
