The Minnesota Zoo says a female moose is expected to heal after being injured in its habitat Wednesday morning.

A zoo spokesperson said the moose was "unexpectedly startled," leading to the injury. The zoo's animal care team believes the injury was sustained either by running up against a tree or a piece of fencing.
