A missing Maple Grove woman was found dead inside her home Saturday morning, according to the Maple Grove Police Department.
Police found 28-year-old Maria Fury inside her home dead. According to Maple Grove Police Commander, Joshua Fury has been arrested on probable cause in connection to the case.
He is currently at Hennepin County Jail and has not been formally charged.
A search party for Maria Fury that was scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.
Fury's parents Lissa Weimelt and Bill Pew issued the following statement:
"It is with broken hearts that we share with you this morning, that our daughter, Maria Pew Fury was found deceased. She was our joy, light and treasure. As our family honors Maria's memory, and the immense joy that she brought to us all, we encourage you to focus on all the positive in the world. Love your babies as we loved our Maria. Thank you so much for your prayers and support."
According to Maple Grove police, officers received a report of Fury being missing on Thursday. Fury reportedly went for a walk at about 11 a.m. and hadn't been heard from since.
In a press release, the Maple Grove Police Department stated it is grateful to all the individuals who volunteered in finding Fury and says "to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."
