Minnesota Moment: Use of rotisserie chicken helps find missing dog in Duluth

March 08, 2019 11:41 AM

No, really-- a rotisserie chicken helped save a dog... sort of.

Eleanor spent most of the last month wandering outside near Duluth. Lorene Faus said when she spotted the chocolate lab's picture on a missing pets Facebook page, she made it her mission to find the dog.

The dog battled some difficult weather while outside.

"She was literally running along the north shore when the temp was minus 24 and that didn't even include wind chill," Lorene said.

Lorene picked up some help from a lost dog group, using cameras to track down Eleanor. She eventually lured the dog into a kennel with some rotisserie chicken.

Eleanor is now in a Humane Society.
