Minnesota Moment: Orono Man's 'George Bailey Moment'

Mike Koetting, of Orono, realized that if he was willing to donate his kidney to a family member, why not donate to a stranger?

In donating his kidney to a woman in Phoenix named Maxine, whom he didn't know, Koetting experienced what he called his "George Bailey moment," so called for the experience of the protagonist in "It's a Wonderful Life."
