Minnesota Moment: Historic first for youth hockey program

Updated: January 13, 2020 10:38 PM

A local youth hockey program had a historic first this week.

For the first time in Langford Park's 80 plus year history, they held an all-girls game.

Organizers say over the years more and more girls have been signing up to play but this was the first time they've had enough girls to put two teams on the ice.

Coach Howatt says that Langford Park hopes to have a full-time girls team by next year.
