Minnesota Moment: Group of Minnesota State Fairgoers receive 50-year awards

Updated: August 26, 2019 10:32 PM

There are many exciting and impressive things to see at the Minnesota State Fair, but few will be more impressive this year than an award received by a group of people Monday.

The group, which includes Linda Paulsen, of Hackensack, received 50-year awards. Paulsen has been entered the Crop Art competition for the past half-century.

She said she comes back year after year for the people, and to teach others.

"I enjoy meeting the people and telling them how to do crop art themselves," Paulsen said. "I like competition, to talk to the artists and see what they've made. It's a fun time."

If you want to check out the artwork she and many others made, just stop by the Agriculture and Horticulture building.
