Gophers fans react to NCAA Tournament win

For the first time since 2013, the University of Minnesota men's basketball team won an NCAA Tournament game Thursday.

And Gophers' fans could not have been more excited - even those who remained on campus and weren't in Des Moines to see the team beat Louisville 86-76.

"I'd say March Madness is one of the huge things for college students to follow," Alexandra Romfle said. "I had my doubts because of how they've played in the past. But it's really exciting to see them turn this around."

And fellow fan Quentin Walthum-Ocama thinks the team has a chance to keep its run alive with an upset victory over fellow Big Ten foe Michigan State on Saturday.

"They just need to keep playing like they did today," Walthum-Ocama said. "Playing with passion and making the big plays and running the table from the start."

Of course, the Final Four is scheduled for U.S. Bank Stadium April 6 and 8 ...

"That would be amazing," Walthum-Ocama said laughing. "But don't get me too excited."
