MnDOT, City to Close St. Paul Homeless Encampment

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has confirmed it is working with the city of St. Paul to close a homeless encampment located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood. 

The encampment is located near Interstate 35E entrance ramp.

MnDOT says the closure is due to cold weather and other hazards.

A MnDOT spokesman said occupants of the encampment must be out by Thursday morning. 

A contractor has also been hired to clear the area of whatever is left behind.
