The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says a 43 1/2 inch northern pike caught earlier this month on Mille Lacs Lake is a state record for northern pike in the catch-and-release category.

The fish was caught on Oct. 6 by Maddy Ogg, a member of the Women Anglers of Minnesota.
