Minneapolis shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 injured

One man is dead and three are recovering in a hospital after a shooting in Minneapolis’s Phillips neighborhood Tuesday night.

Minneapolis Police said officers responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired near the 2700 block of Bloomington Avenue at 8:42 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and found three men — one of whom was unresponsive — suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Lifesaving efforts were provided before the three were transported to a hospital where the unresponsive man was pronounced dead.

A fourth victim then showed up at the hospital, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said all four victims appear to have been injured in the shooting on Bloomington Avenue. It wasn’t clear how serious the injuries to the three victims were.

No arrests have been made at this time.

An investigation is underway.

It’s the 70th homicide of the year in Minneapolis.
