Both Minneapolis Public Schools and St. Paul Public Schools have canceled classes and activities Wednesday.

The cancellations come as snowfall is expected in the Twin Cities Wednesday.

The Minneapolis Public Schools cancellation includes Community Education and Adult Education classes and early childhood programs.

All Anoka-Hennepin schools will also be closed due to the weather. Along with classes, all after-school and evening activities will be canceled as well.

According to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl, the metro could see 6 to 9 inches of snow.
