Officers responded to a shots fired call on the 1800 block of Riverside Avenue around 7:20 p.m. At the scene, police found a man in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects are in custody at this time, police said.

Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder said there were "a lot of people out on the street" at the time of the shooting, and the department is asking anyone with information to come forward.

"Help us solve the crimes in your neighborhood," Elder said.
