Missing Vulnerable Adult Found Safe, Police Say

Minneapolis Park Police say a 75-year-old vulnerable adult who was reported missing Friday evening has been found safe.


Donald James Nelson was located "walking down the road" several hours after he was reported missing, police say.

The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a 75-year-old vulnerable adult. 

According to Minneapolis Police spokesperson John Elder, Donald James Nelson, 75, was last seen at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, located at 4105 Nicollet Avenue South at about 6:30 p.m. Friday. 

Nelson is described as five-feet, nine-inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a gray hood, black pants and brown shoes. Nelson is a vulnerable adult who experiences memory issues. He is not from the area and has no money or identification on him.

Anyone who sees Nelson is asked to call 911 immediately.
