There will actually be three Super Bowl teams at U.S. Bank Stadium this February.

Of course, there will be the two NFL teams playing in the game on Feb. 4. And there will be the Minneapolis North Polars high school football team as well.

The Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee and the NFL made a big announcement Wednesday.

The North football team will be on the field at U.S. Bank Stadium in full uniforms on Feb. 2, two days before the big game. They will be the stars of a dress rehearsal to make sure all the cameras and technology are ready to go.

North players were called into the school auditorium for a surprise announcement Wednesday morning. There, Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee CEO Maureen Bausch gave them some news.

"And there are really three teams that play in the Super Bowl," she said. "There are the two that will play on February 4, but there's another team that will play on Friday, February 2.  And they act just like they're Super Bowl players."

"And today I'm here to tell you, you guys are the Super Bowl team!".

Bausch calls it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"So this is a wonderful experience," she said. "We are so excited to give it to you guys because you are extremely special."

But that wasn't the only surprise. Polars coach Charles Adams was also given two Super Bowl tickets.

And every member of the team were given tickets to attend The Super Bowl Experience Driven By Genesis at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee expects one million visitors to the Twin Cities Super Bowl week.
