One person was killed in a motorcycle crash in Ham Lake Monday afternoon.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said deputies, along with Ham Lake Fire Department and Allina Ambulance, responded to a crash on Lexington Avenue at Bunker Lake Boulevard at about 3:36 p.m.

Initial information indicates a pickup truck was attempting to turn left from northbound Lexington Avenue onto Bunker Lake Boulevard, and a motorcycle was headed south on Lexington Avenue. While turning, the truck struck the motorcycle, the sheriff's office said.

First responders attempted lifesaving efforts on the motorcyclist, a 67-year-old Minneapolis man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old man from Ham Lake, wasn't injured.

The sheriff's office said alcohol doesn't appear to have been a factor in the crash.

An investigation is active.
