Man with Minnesota ties dies after injuries sustained from avalanche in New Mexico

A Minnesota native died after being buried in an avalanche in New Mexico, according to KOAT, an ABC affiliate in Albuquerque

KOAT reported the family of 22-year-old Corey Borg-Massanari confirmed his death Monday.

Borg-Massanari was raised in Brainerd, according to KOAT. 

The avalanche occurred Thursday at Kachina Peak near Taos.
