Man arrested after standoff overnight in Eagan

One man was arrested after a standoff overnight in Eagan.

Eagan Police said officers received a report of a 47-year-old man having threatened a juvenile with a gun on the 1100 block of Wilderness Run at about 12:00 a.m. Tuesday.


Officers responded, and the juvenile and his mother fled the house. Police said officers tried to make contact with the man who was inside the house and was known to have guns, but were unsuccessful.

A perimeter was then set up and by 5 a.m. contact was successfully made with the man.

Police said he came out peacefully at about 5:30 a.m. and was taken into custody, where he currently remains.
