A man was shot in St. Paul Monday night.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired at the location of Fourth Street East and Earl Street around 9:53 p.m. The incident report states an off-duty officer at Regions Hospital told police a man was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police say the victim, Jaqwan Lamar House, from St. Paul, was uncooperative with law enforcement. He said he was allegedly at Twins Market and Meat when an unknown man drove by in an unknown type of vehicle and fired several shots, striking the victim once. 

The report states several shell casings were recovered in the intersection of 4th Street East and Earl Street. 

There is no information involving a suspect at this time. The incident is currently under investigation.
