A criminal complaint states Jackson and Thomas punched a woman in the head, dragged her into their car and drove away. The victim later told police Jackson struck her with a gun repeatedly, and when she jumped out of the car, Jackson shot her in her left shoulder.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office said "Jackson admitted to everything the victim said and Thomas admitted to most of it."

His sentencing is set for Nov. 7.
