Minneapolis police say a man suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening after he was reportedly struck by a shovel inside a hotel in downtown Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the victim was a hotel worker and the assault occurred inside in one of the work areas. A man with a shovel came in from outside and hit the victim, who police said was known to the assailant.

A suspect was taken into custody and will be booked on first-degree assault, according to police.
