Man in custody on unrelated charge arrested in St. Paul homicide

Police say a man has been arrested in connection to the Sept. 2 shooting death of Anna Marie Wagener in St. Paul.
The St. Paul Police Department identified the man as 34-year-old Antonio Lorenzo Powell. Police say Powell has been charged with second-degree murder and is in custody in Hennepin County on an unrelated charge.

41-year-old victim identified in St. Paul homicide
Authorities were called early on the morning of Sept. 2 on the report of a shooting on the 800 block of Cook Avenue East.
When police arrived, they found Wagener lying in the street suffering an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
