A man is in custody after conducting a spree of bank robberies last month.
The Minneapolis Police Department issued a release on Tuesday, stating William Manuel Villanueva, 37, was arrested in connection with two bank robberies that occurred in Minneapolis on Aug. 12 and Aug. 24. The incidents happened at a Wells Fargo Bank located at 4943 34th Avenue South and another Wells Fargo Bank located at 4712 Chicago Avenue South.

During the investigation, authorities learned there were six robberies throughout Minnesota and one in Wisconsin, all with the same means reported and a description of a suspect that matched Villanueva's. The other robberies occurred on Aug. 19, Aug. 22, Aug. 24, Aug. 26 (twice) and Aug. 29. The following depicts the location and time of each incident:
Villanueva has been charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated robbery by the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.
