Police said on Sunday the victim in a Saturday night shooting in north Minneapolis has died.

Minneapolis Police officers responded to the 4600 block of Lyndale Avenue North around 4:45 p.m. Saturday on multiple 911 calls, according to a news release. Reports from the calls included sounds of gunshots and a motor vehicle crash.


Officers arriving on the scene found an adult male in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to North Memorial Health Care, where he died on Sunday, the news release said. The victim's identity is not being released at this time.

A person who was originally arrested in the case has been released. No one is in custody.
