Man charged in connection to arson at Target Headquarters in downtown Minneapolis

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection to the arson that occurred at the Target Headquarters in downtown Minneapolis.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Shador Tommie Cortez Jackson faces one count of arson.

MPD: At least 30 people arrested for violating curfew

The attorney’s office alleges Jackson broke through the doors at the Target Headquarters and ignited a fire during the unrest that occurred in downtown Minneapolis on Aug. 26.

A criminal complaint said surveillance video from inside the store showed Jackson set fire to a desktop inside of the building’s mailroom.

He was stopped later that night by Richfield police and was found in possession of stolen items.
